Safety
- Do not place objects next to or above the heater.
- Do not dry clothes in the sauna — it may cause a fire.
- The sauna is “dry”: do not pour water on the stones.
- After use, set the switch to the zero position.
- Set the timer. Turn the timer knob clockwise. The white scale (0–4) switches the heater on immediately for the number of hours you set. The second scale (1–8) is a delayed start: the heater switches on after the set number of hours and runs for 4 hours.
- Set the temperature. With the thermostat knob: towards “max” for hotter, towards “min” for cooler. Find the right position by trying.
- Wait. The sauna takes about an hour to heat up.
- Turn it off after use. Turn the timer knob anticlockwise to the zero position.
Example of delayed start
You are going skiing for 5 hours and want to warm up in the sauna when you return. Turn the knob to the delayed-start section (scale 1–8) and set it to 4. After 4 hours the heater starts heating and is ready an hour later — just as you return.
The first time
Turn the thermostat knob all the way clockwise — maximum temperature. Go into the sauna after about an hour. If it is too hot, lower the temperature by one step and go in again after 25 minutes. This way you find a comfortable setting. To cool the sauna faster, leave the door open.
The first time you use it there may be a slight smell — this is the factory grease burning off. Air the room and the smell will go away.
